Por Fin

We stood silent and smiling
In the winter mist.
I reached for words to
Hang in the air, a dollop of meaning
A reason for you to press your face
In the soft mane of my hair.

My mouth opens
Por Fin
At last

Your espresso eyes search mine
I want you to tell me
I’m the one, you can’t see a day without me.

Even though I’m just a lovely dream
That left with the morning sun.
